Built to the same fabric standard as the adult range
Luma is rated at 100,000 Martindale rubs — the number of abrasion cycles the fabric withstands in a standardised test before showing wear. For context, 30,000 rubs is the usual threshold for general domestic use and 50,000 for heavy domestic or light commercial. Luma is also the fabric specified on Velorra adult sofas costing several times as much.

It washes
Luma can be warm machine washed. It must not be bleached and must not be ironed, and tumble drying must be done on a low-heat setting. For anything that needs professional cleaning, any solvent may be used except trichloroethylene.

Light, soft, and made to be moved
Cubs is a foam-cushioned piece with no timber frame — unlike the Velorra, Cavura, Varela and Furrona ranges, which are built on solid Red Oak, Iroko and Saligna. That is a deliberate difference: at 7 kg and 8 kg the cushions are light enough for a small child to move, stack and rearrange into dens and hideouts, and there is no hard frame in a piece of furniture that is going to be climbed on.
Both sizes sit at 40 cm high, which is a seat a toddler can get onto and off without help.
