Recent project
A whole patio, brought back to life
We recently transformed a customer's outdoor area: a wicker corner set and two solid wooden benches. Every seat and back cushion was redone with fresh foam and premium, pet-friendly, water-repellent fabric, in soft grey on the wicker and a warm brick red on the benches.
To lift both comfort and style, we added bold scatter cushions in plum, terracotta, teal and mustard. The frames stayed; everything you sit on is new.

Fabrics for outdoor living
Made for sun, spills and pets.
Water repellent is not waterproof: these fabrics shed spills and a passing shower, but bring cushions in during heavy rain. Ask which ranges and colours suit your set.
FibreGuard Outdoor
Solution-dyed recycled polypropylene. Stain-free, water repellent, anti-microbial, and mildew and odour resistant, with colour fastness rated 7 to 8. Machine washable at 30°C or 60°C.
Clario
100% solution-dyed polyester: the colour runs right through the fibre, so it holds up in direct sun. UV resistant and weather tolerant, rated 50,000 rubs.
Mistelle, pet-friendly
Low-sheen polyester velvet, pet-friendly and water repellent, with our highest rub count at 110,000. Warm machine washable.
We build sofas from the frame up in Centurion, so we know what a cushion needs to last outdoors.

Reupholstery questions
Is it worth reupholstering patio furniture?
If the frame is still sound, usually yes. Solid wood and good wicker or rattan outlast their cushions by years, so new covers and foam give you a set that feels new, generally for less than replacing it, and you keep pieces that already suit your space. Send us photos and we'll give you an honest answer.
How much does it cost to reupholster patio cushions?
Every set is different, so we quote per job. The price depends on how many cushions there are, their sizes, whether the foam is replaced, the fabric you choose and any scatter cushions. WhatsApp us photos and rough measurements, and you'll have the price and the timing before any work starts.
Can you replace just the foam?
Yes. If your covers are still in good condition but the seats have gone flat, we can refresh the foam on its own. It is often worth renewing both at once, though, because new foam in a faded or stretched cover doesn't sit as well.
What fabric is best for outdoor cushions?
Look for solution-dyed fibres and a water-repellent finish. Solution dyeing puts the colour through the fibre, so it fades far less in direct sun. FibreGuard Outdoor is stain-free and water repellent, and Clario is UV resistant. Water repellent isn't waterproof, so bring cushions in during heavy rain. Do you have pet-friendly fabrics?
Yes. Mistelle, the velvet on our Furrona dog beds, is pet-friendly and water repellent, with our highest rub count at 110,000, and it is warm machine washable. FibreGuard Outdoor is stain-free, anti-microbial and odour resistant.
Can you make matching scatter cushions?
Yes. We make scatter cushions to match your new upholstery or to contrast with it. On the project above, plum, terracotta, teal and mustard scatters against grey and brick-red seats changed the whole feel of the patio.
